It is a blend of Arts; healing arts, dance arts, and martial arts including Yoga, Feldenkrais, and Alexander Techniques, Jazz, Duncan, and Modern Dance, Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do and Aikido.
Nia is done to music with movements designed for fun and fitness. Done barefooted, Nia is low impact, and yet provides strength and cardiovascular conditioning.
